. My guess is that S&W will do a great job on the reblue, especially once you give them the gun's history.

I hope you’re right but I wonder if S&W is capable of doing great bluing jobs these days? The new revolvers coming out of their factory don’t show that they are. I have a model 586 that’s only about 10-12 years old and I’m having it reblued.
