Pop taught me how to shoot a high powered rifle with a 788 in 6MM Remington.

That old rifle took well over 100 deer (dad had one string of 28

dead in their tracks bang flops and a deer never made more than

about 50 -75 yards when hit with this rifle) and Lord only knows

how many groundhogs with a 75 grain Speer or Hornady HP and 43.0

grains of IMR 4350.

I'll always have a soft spot for the 788.
