Putin, now elected, has turned on his former wealthy supporters and oligarchs who earlier got a pass saying that they need to do their part to help finance the ongoing war in Ukraine and the possible future war with NATO.

This move is inline with China and Turkey refusing payments and receipts from Russia due to wanting to hold on to their access to the US Dollar on the international marketplace.

The same applies to the same imposed EU sanctions such that China and Turkey have access to those financial markets.

The banking sanctions by the USA, the EU and the rest of the G7 nations has been the most effective monetary action against Russia than any previous actions to date.
