I'll also cast my vote for the 300 RUM. Mine shoots .5" groups or BETTER (when I do my part) with 180 Swifts Scir's (3300) and 200 Nosler Partitions (almost 3200).

As far as a choice between the Rem and Weatherby rifles ?? No contest, the Rem wins hands down in the accuracy dept., IMO

Got a whole gun safe full of Rems, they all shoot well under 1" and all but one started out as factory, SS in tupperware, now sitting in HS or Mc Millan stocks, with no other mods except for trigger adjustments. One is a full custom that is no doubt more accurate than I am !!

Have a buddy who has a Weatherby Ultralight in 300 Weatherby that we cannot get to shoot better than minute of pie plate and that ain't no bull either. That is even with a bedding job from a local 'smith. My buddy 163bc had a "magnum headache" after a day at the bench trying to get that thing to shoot !!

I'll take any of my factory Rem's against any Weatherby, including the sub MOA, any day. As a matter of fact you can buy two Rem 700 SS BDL's in tupperware, add an HS or McMillan and still have a few bucks left for the price of one Sub-MOA.

No thanks.

Tony.
