Maybe it's just me, but I always thought the Mod 70 was one of the last rifles you had to buy an after-market trigger for. I have 3. I like Jewel & Timney & have thier upgrades on some guns that were in bad need of trigger improvement.
It must be you Model 70's all have horrible factory trigger's, in fact it is the first thing I do before I fire a shot.

p.s. after posting this I remembered that I have brand new in the box model 70 ,tried my trigger pull gauge on it 5 times and it read between 98oz and 112oz that is HORRIBLE in my book.
