Eremicus, As a 27 year 1100 shooter who used a 391 for a couple of years and hunted upland with a Benelli Montefeltro 20 gauge for a season I agree with everybody that likes these guns. They're all good depending on what you use them for but I'd want a gas operated semiauto for a lot of clay target shooting.

I'm not a high volume shooter either but I've put at least a couple of thosand rounds a year through my 1100 most years, both clay targets and hunting, a few years a lot more and haven't had any problems with it. I clean it about every 500 rounds and use a lot of Breakfree CLP. I eventually stayed with the 1100 because I was used to it and for the kind of hunting and shooting I do couldn't see any reason to change. I liked it the best and I already owned one. If you like your 1187 you might want to try the others first, if possible, to see if you like them better before putting the 1187 on the shelf.
