Thank you for the interesting thread and thanks to all who have responded.

This is my candidate, an old No. 1 that I made up a different fore end for and added a Gentry barrel band and a Moyers trigger as well.

Even though it's a bit heavy, sometimes it goes for walks with me and has put bullets into a couple of my biggest mule deer.
