Maybe a bit of a tangent but what is the point of a .338/160gr bullet? I mean, I would think the whole point of the larger bore would be to shoot larger (or at least largish) bullets.

Ok, granted, perhaps if one were going for "one rifle versatility" and wanted to try their .338 on antelope that might be the way to go if you're rifle shot them well.

I'm not so much knocking the idea, it's just that if I'm going to be shooting a 160ish bullet I've got other rifles for that than my .338 bore. (and I say this realizing Barnes has loads out of my .340 topping 3500 with that bullet)


If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.
