I've already mentioned I'm a bit bemused with the idea of trying to make a 338-06 into a 7mm Wby (minus about 100BC and 80SD points) but hey, those are good velocities and if the little buggers would shoot straight would certainly flatten things out for longer shots in that caliber.

So I am curious if anybody can get them to group well. I could always get a wild hair and try working up some nice little load for my .340. Maybe a reduced one that shoots to a similar POA as the big nasties but still more than enough for deer etc without the big magnum drama?

If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.
