I can't rate the Slick bag but I've seen some good reviews over on the Kifaru board on them. I'm going to get the ) degree Slick for my next bag. I have their Woobie and am impressed with how light, compressable/packable, and warm it is. This is coming from a cold sleeper.
Climashield is just a newer insulation replacing heavier stuff. Just like how Liteloft replaced Holofill and Quallafill. Or semi automatics replaced revolvers as duty weapons. That is why you can do more with less. It's evolution in the gear world.
