Well, I have way exceeded my original budget for making improvements to my 1000 yd equipment!
I just ordered a almost new Nightforce 8-32x56 BR scope, a set of rings, from Bill Shehane. Bill gave me a couple tips that I will follow without question. I also found a used McMillan HV Stock, for a 700 long action, that was set up for 1000 yd shooting. It isn't perfect, but I bet it will allow me to reach the full potnetial of my present action and barrel. The stock includes a Davidson loading ramp and a Williams trigger guard, and only cost me $190 shipped.
The Tubb Speedlock kit arived today and I installed it without a main spring compression tool. (This is doable but I don't recommend it.) I recevied 500 special 115 grain Matchkings Sierra makes for David Tubb, and a metplate uniformer. I'm also going to try Tubb's throat MX kit.
On Friday I'm going to drive up to Bruno's and get the rest of the stuff I need.
Finally, a type of shooting that REQUIRES every bit of anality I have........ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
