BC Steve: Any similar test comparing that data above, to say a 30-06 w/a few loads in same media?
I recall Finn Aaggard years back did articles on 6.5x55 as well as 338/06, and IIRC, he did penetration test, etc. and compared them to say an '06 w/a few common bullets like 180 CL, PT, and 200 PT.
It sure would be nice if all mfg. of bullets/ammo elected to do standardized test in a bullet medium to show various data on terminal performance, but many I am sure would 'opt out' for fear of showing 'bullet failure.'
