Oh and I have two savage 260 rems - both 1-8" twist. One a 24" criterion barrel and the other 26" shillen. I have yet to load a bullet in either that will not shoot small groups at 150-200fps faster than max book loads. With a good barrel, you have to try to not have outstanding hunting accuracy. So, the issue once again goes back to bullet construction for the range and velocity and shot placement you like - this makes the work this op did extremely valuable to us all.
