TXRam, thanks for weighing those pieces. There may not be that much difference between my original 2 piece steel metal, 6.25 ounces and the PTG aluminum metal, 2.5 ounces. that would be 3.75 ounces. That weight of 2.5 ounces is what PT&G advertises for the weight of their aluminum unit. From my dealings with PT&G so far, their advertised weight of 2.5 ounces could be a bunch of BS too.
