I can't speak of the Mod 100, but I do have an post 64 88 in .284. It will shoot equal to or better than most if not all the bolt actions I have owned with loads it likes.

The wood on the Pre 64s is better and the checkering too. However, an old gunsmith I took a post and pre 64 to to get worked on commented that the post 64 was easier to work on and not as rough. With the history of the post and pre 64s in all models I was wondering if he was confused about which was which.
