Indeed the 22 Hornet does not have the laser like trajectory of a 204 Ruger or a 220 Swift - but with a Leica laser rangefinder and a familiarization with my handloads this lovely little Rifle is much more than 150 yards worthy.
I use pointy V-Max bullets in my Hornet and that helps out a bit.

I have what sounds like an identical setup and have hit turtles at about 250 yards. I really don't hunt varmits much but it's deadly on those pesky targets.
