I used that combination last Fall on a WY cow elk at about 170 yards. I put two shots tight behind the left shoulder (broadside). Both bullets didn't exit, but did the job. She was a large cow and staggered around for 15-20 seconds before dropping.

This year I'm using a little more gun...9.3x62 w/250 gr TTSX's or Acubonds.
