I am fortunate to have both a 1710HB and a 1712 FWT. I've only hunted steel silouettes with mine, but they have proven to be match winners. I had a 64MS that I gifted to my hunting partner and it is a real shooter as well, but the 54 actions, at least my two, are super nice and a step up. Almost unbelievably accurate with any decent ammo....I've had a Cooper which was a really nice rifle and shot well, and I also had a Jap repro Winnie model 52, which also shot well, but there is no drama associated with the Annies. They just shoot....
