I believe he is talking about the cross checkered trigger used on the original 250-3000 model.
Mine have the simple grooves or early 1899 ones that are smooth.
thought that , I only have 2 guns one almost pristeen the other a beater with beautiful rear stock, DT both stocks cracked ,but I repaired them sort of , barrel turned past TDC by 1/16 and peened, bore shiny , blueing poor pitted receiver. putting a 6x scope on to see if it works on yotes, if it does not shoot well might become parts
