After pics of the Rem M 700 .375 RUM.
It now has scope and iron sights.
Before pic.
As is with Leupold M-8 3x scope and all,it weighs 7lbs 12ozs.
It has Weaver bases and Leupold QRW (Quick Release Weaver) rings.

It possible..but they are relatively fragile anyway...bump them on a rock, or a truck gun rack etc. Otherwise, you look Buffalo ready!

The iron sights are loc-tited in. The others are hand tight.

Spend the money on a hunt, not another rifle....that one will work fine...

Yep. The cost of a Dakota/Taylor/ Rigby is the cost of a buffalo.

Hunt something smaller.
Not sure which would hurt less, pulling the trigger on that, or a bovine stomping. I've experienced the bovine stomping but will not experience a 375 RUM.

Not often, you are more likely to get run over by a bus but the results are similar.

That was actually a staged photo.
When it happens for real the guy looks more like a smudge than a guy.

Ya, pretty hard to get stomped to death without any torn clothing. Once a year? Less? more?

Seems like it's been running 2-3 deaths per year that I am aware of but there are no doubt more that are not publicized as much because they are folks who are not tourists or prominent in the hunting industry. When some of the locals get stomped the news doesn't travel far because it is a common occurrence.
