What the hell does it matter "what" they get served. The cheapest source of food that meets the minimum caloric intake should be served.

If you don't like it, stay the hell out of prison. Their preference should be the last thing we care about.

I survived on MREs after Katrina and was glad for them. I'm not sure when prisoners get to choose their menu like a resort but....I am the one that posted for Spam recipes....

What have they been feeding Muslim prisoners? I'm suspicious that this is involved in the change.

Mealworms - high calorie, low cost. Ask the other snakes and lizards.

High calorie but certainly not low cost. Check out the bird feed shelves. They run more than $1/oz (that's oz, not lb).

I'd suggest getting rid of all the free weights and give them labor intensive work to do. Let them earn credits to trade in for whatever food and drink and cigs they care to.

Or, just whatever is cheapest. It's fuggin prison for crap sake.

Google sustainable agriculture and start reading. We are suposed to eat the corn and protect animal rights. It is a big deal around the world and agriculture is under attack using the word "unsustainable". It it also the word used to attack carbon energy.

They probably don't like being locked up either.

I would say I do not care WHAT they eat - but I DO care. I want them to be the unhappiest bunch there is. I want it to be bad enough that they NEVER want to go back. I have an acquaintance who breaks some important law every fall, so he can spend the winter in jail. He gets fed, stays warm, gets new glasses, and gets any health problems taken care of. A damn parasite, gaming the system. As an aside, this same guy was an eye - opener to me. I tried to help him, and he just is a user. Laws are not irrelevant to him - they are non - existent. The only thing that matters to him is what HE wants. Obama is just being Sharia compliant. Hell - the guy is a Muslim. If there is anybody left that doubts that, I question their cognitive ability.
