not gonna happen. There is no bill that the House, Senate, and POTUS could agree on for this topic.

The problem with that is that he said it last time...

That he'd never sign another bill funding the govt that didn't have funding for the wall.

But he did.


He's running out of annual spending bills to bargain with.

At some point, you have to hold the line, and quit giving into the Commies.


What is even more pathetic is the cheering and high fives by the Commies that gladly cheer our demise as a country. Hell... the commies here at the Fire are so happy they're about to have a fit.

i wish the term gov't shutdown actually had meaning other than PR points.

a true holiday or shutdown would preclude collection of all taxes.

Folks can spin it how ever they want but the way I see it Trump caved. Pelosi just showed him and the whole country who runs things and it ain’t him. He boasted about how he’d leave it shutdown for a year if need be but he’d been steadily back peddling ever since while the democrats held the line. Kinda like he boasted Mexico would be paying for it. Chances of ever getting Congress to work a deal to build a wall in the next 3 weeks are less than 0. Then what’s he going to do? Get his pen out? For what purpose, the courts will shut it down. This was his only chance and he caved.

Oh well, at least we got a couple justices out of it.

Whatever is it is, it wasn't much of a showing today.

Other that to show that republicans give in and buckle under to democrats Every Single Time.

I just listened to the speech. He clearly stated he was reopening for three weeks to get people paid ASAP, AND.........for reasonable negotiation for the wall to continue but also made it clear. At the end of three weeks he "would use the power invested in me by the Constitution of the US.........and address this emergency".

If that that doesn't translate to .............either negotiate or I'm going to do it without you........I don't know what it is.

Time will tell.
