I don't believe for a minute that Trump has caved and decided he won't get the wall. He spent his whole business career dealing with politicians trying to bend him over the table, especially Schumer. If anyone would have a handle on dealing with politicians it would be him. One does not build skyscrapers in NYC without dealing with people trying to screw you over.

Looks like only for three weeks, enough time to get the federal employees paid. This. It’s a good move. Jmo The problem with that is that he said it last time... That he'd never sign another bill funding the govt that didn't have funding for the wall.But he did. He's running out of annual spending bills to bargain with. At some point, you have to hold the line, and quit giving into the Commies. What is even more pathetic is the cheering and high fives by the Commies that gladly cheer our demise as a country. Hell... the commies here at the Fire are so happy they're about to have a fit. Pretty sad when you celebrate the death of the country you live in. You need to separate Trump’s political ups and downs from the condition of the USA. If eight years of Obama didn’t bring the country down, Trump getting bitch slapped by Pelosi and Schumer don’t amount to a fart in a whirlwind.

Sure looks to the average guy on the street, that Trump is slowly caving. Sure do not see where he is gaining anything. Maybe one of you folks with better foresight could explain hs way of thinking? ................Not a cave in.....Trump said in his speech today that the govt will be funded through Feb 15th, which in the meantime all of those federal employees affected will receive their back pay. After the 3 weeks, if the dems still reject the the border wall by refusing to fund it, then Trump will declare a national emergency on the southern border,,,which he HAS FULL Constitutional authority to do so. Then after that, allocate funds from the DOD to build the wall. Trump is very cleverly setting up the demoCRAPS. He knows they will not co-operate to fund the wall.
