The poutine I've seen is cheese and gravy on fries... if you listen closely, you can hear the arteries harden. Sure, Denton, but what a way to go! Ya not exactly the healthiest but once in a while you gotta show your body who's boss. .. Yep......every thing in moderation. ...including moderation! *Especially* moderation!

For some it's a blood type. I resemble that remark. Alas, ‘it’s hard to find a worthwhile gravy at a restaurant these days. And now that the offsprings’ tastes have finally matured to the point where they truly appreciate that greasy nectar, I’m now forced to make it by the gallon. Perhaps it would last longer if I stopped serving it with straws. FC

Remember the Superfans on SNL? The schtick where one of them had a Polish sausage lodged in his aorta? Down in my part of the country it would be a link of boudin.

There's a BBQ place here that serves "Poutine Dream: Hand Cut Fries Topped with Brisket, House Made Brisket Gravy and Queso Fresco", a tasty artery clogger.

Tried poooooteen a couple times thinking that the first time just wasn't right. Second try was no better. NOW fries and gravy is a completely different story---much much better and not so bad with a bit of ketchup drizzled over top. Been eatin fries and graveeeey for at least 60 years. Soft fries laced with lots of vinegar(white) and ketchup--excellent.... Nuther good thing--Slice a potatoe(russet type) length wise about 5/16 inch thick and cook in lotsa oil in a frying pan or sometimes deep fry.--to die for. You all are gunna get fat after reading this.

Worked with a guy, most of us were going to do health/wellness evals. Employees got a free day off for participating and a few bucks knocked off their insurance premiums. He wanted that day off to go eat some more gravy.
Anyway, the slug we had- we can just call him "Slug" to perserve his anonymity; his triglycerides were in the 700 (SEVEN HUNDRED) range. His cholesterol was about 300.
he was a gravy eatin sombitch, not terribly overweight- just lazy and moaned like Droopy the Dog when he had to go pick up cigg butts in the parking lot. lol
I told the fugger his heart was gonna explode

My MIL lived just down the road. Aren't they noted for deserts as well? These days, I believe they're known only for having a dining room that resembles an assisted-living facility. Few people under 70 seem to eat there, unless they're taking their elderly parents there. The ribs don't seem to be what they once were, and even then I didn't find them to be great. Little smoke flavor, gelatinized texture, over-sauced to disguise the flavor... pair it with high prices and indifferent service, and you've found the formula to keep my azz way from there. I believe the desserts are also like those found in a retirement community, though they do serve Graeter's Ice Cream - which can't be beaten with a small stick. Personally, I'd rather ship Graeter's to Deer Trail, CO, Wenztzville or Cameron, MO, Greece, NY, or Bourne, TX, and eat it there: the company is much better! FC
