That really gets a fella's goat, when they move because of work. Work for one of the money sucking leeches called gooberment.

Geno

Espeically with vehicles .
They make it sound oh not so bad with the little reduced formula to sock ya for sales tax basically for their state when you go to register it .
Luckily mil and fed employees are exempt based on relocations per job or duty requirements
Once ya retire though. it is a different story.

Well, some of the states I went to didn't include fed employees, at least not those of us who elected to move for advancement purposes.

Fuggers even charged me on my little rowboat, because it needed the stickers.

Oh well, even when we manage to elect some "conservatives" , they still manage to find a way to get our money.

Geno

I could see the loophole on voluntary for progression move
Versus mandatory job/ duty requirement move.

Get ya anyway they can.

Teams of fuggers working in tax comptrollers offices nationwide
Just looking for the smallest obscure schit they can for revenue

Then passed along to legislstors at all levels who have a vague clue and understanding of its origination to sponser and enact.

in utah they couldn't wait to get people paying the online sales tax. I was pretty surprised that no one around here seemed to give a crap about it. In fact many said oh you were supposed to be doing the honor system and paying it with your tax return. which no one ever actually did. As if some how this makes it all wonderful. Its actually a very significant tax increase all things considered. 5-6k spend on, online stuff is going to ding you for nearly $500 bucks.

the push in utah is they want to hurry up and "reform" taxes before all the new revenue is recorded. Currently they are crying about sales taxes lagging, They want to change the tax law before the new numbers come in with online sales taxes.

There is still a way to avoid it. buy used on ebay.

Don't bet on it. PayPal, which handles the vast majority of payments on Ebay, just started collecting it if you're in one of the 38 states affected.

Local dirt

Did ya get complete upper with bcg and c handle
550ish ? after everything

Add ons from drop down menu stuff also ???

You can tailor em some what.

Been thinking aero upper and lower with a ballistic advantage barrel also.

Choices, choices , choices.......

Or just pick up something really decent at a gun show resident to resident sale.
Plenty of guys going in em with stuff on their shoulder or in their hands.

So BCM is internet only, which should give them a bit of a price advantage.....and since they are internet only, that’d make their items scarce.

No on the $550. $665 + BCG + c'handle.

Also bought their lower. Had to remove their buffer tube to get the sba3 on.

Email response from BCM when I questioned them charging tax.

While FL doesn’t currently have a law requiring online sellers with no other connections to the state to register with them and charge sales tax, we do have connections to the state that may trigger nexus. We felt it was prudent to register with FL and charge sales tax. This has the added benefit of providing the convenience of taking care of our customer’s tax obligation at the same time as the sale instead of them having to report it as USE tax at the end of the year.

I talked to a lady at Target Sports and she said a lot of people think they are just pocketing the extra money since the law was not really in effect when they started charging it.

I said it is suspicious that you would charge it before it's required. She said it's inevitable that it's coming. I said why would you charge it before you have to, no wonder people are suspicious. I also asked how they were going to handle all the paperwork. She said they were getting some new software that automated it. I asked how are you handling it now without the software. She just mumbled something I couldn't understand. Put me in the suspicious that they are just keeping it for now catagory.

A business must meet an annual sales amount in a state before they have to collect. The threshold in Idaho is $100,000 a year in sales to Idaho. I wonder how many smaller businesses meet it. I wonder if Target Sports sells $100,000 a year worth of ammo in Idaho. I'm the only one I know here that orders from them and I don't buy that much.
