what did the bore look like?

have you tied it into a tire and pulled the trigger with a string yet?

There's one I would like to see. Years ago, a guy here in so. Idaho was hunting out in the sagebrush. He shot a large buck and needed both hands to drag it out so he laid his 30-30 against a sagebrush to come back for it. He couldn't find it.
Forward 30 years...he was hunting in the same area and there it was, still leaning against the sagebrush. The summers in sage country are pretty sunny and there's lots of UV. I doubt it was coated with UV resistant varnish. I wonder what it looked like.

probably cost $115 back in '49.......if that......

Bore looks good......betting horse fell on it to break original stock..back in '62....... cry

Do have one live round....ran it through magazine & chamber...works fine !

First of next week to test her out......

nah......not 'fraid.......its a JM Marlin !!!!!!!!

around 1955 i got my first hi power rifle. a winchester 94 30.30. cost at the hardware store was about $70.00
