If the sun rises, Harbor Freight has a sale to celebrate the day. smile

HF is a safe haven compared to Walmart. I would use Permethrin and a SCBA if I had to shop at most of them.

I had ordered a convection microwave for Amazon a few weeks ago.... made in China. With modern "just in time" inventory practices no way of knowing how long it had been in the USA before delivery..... I washed my hands a lot after unboxing it....

I read that this virus can live for 9 days on a dry surface....

I went into a Hobo Freight once and made the crack, "Smells like China!" And a guy near me said, "I've been there, and it DOES." n

They think the virus can't live more than a few days outside a host. Since the ocean voyage inside shipping containers is longer than that, the stuff in HF should be safe. But note the "think" and "should."

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/me...ger-on-contaminated-surfaces/ar-BB1069am

The 9 day thing is a possibility China is burning tons of cash (in addition to bodies) …

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/ar...n-surfaces#How-to-inactivate-coronavirus

Maybe longer if someone sneezes on your package in air conditioning...

https://www.businesstoday.in/curren...survive-on-any-surface/story/396252.html

…. He also points out that "coronavirus can survive at least two weeks after drying at temperature and humidity conditions found in an air-conditioned environment." Also, "contaminated surfaces may play a major role in the transmission of infection in the hospital and the community." He says, "coronavirus can retain its infectivity up to 2 weeks at low temperature and low humidity, which might facilitate the virus transmission in the community."...

Well, in the past few days, I've shopped in a Harbor Freight, a Dollar Store, WalMart, a Sportsmans Warehouse, and a golf store - all of which are wall-to-wall with "Made in China" stuff. I have not the slightest qualm about it.

But I thought Sealed Air Corp. was an American Company.
Did the Chinese steal air bubble technology?

Some types of similar virus can survive up to 28 days on a surface. Hopefully that does not turn out to be the case with this one.

I hope the virus is not contained in those little blue free flashlights! I've got a dozen or so laying around the house.
