I don't remember exactly but I do remember this -
223 AI twisted fast SUCKS with Pac-Nor in a McM (Winchester was a BLOWS and a Ruger was a BITES) 7-08 was hot
Pac-Nor was the place everyone went to be trued up and have a barrel fitted. Charlie Sisk was active and a fan favorite as well.

It was after I joined but the 260 Rem had a big buzz.
You know, the original Creedmoor. So glad I bought one.

Over the years on the fire I can recall "Annual" trends as the cartridge of the year to acquire but not necessarily in order by year. .260 rem...243AI....257Robt's....7X57....280 Rem....35 Whelan....280AI.....9.3X62....and lastly...the 6.5 Creedmoor. No one has mentioned the discussion of a rifle cartridge to get rid of which of course is the .270 by post count alone.

I tend to not follow a herd... and walk my own path...
so who knows what was a "must have" when I joined... I am sure it made my " Don't need list" instead...

What was the hot topic, or "must have" cartridge, rifle, or whatever when you joined? I don't recall. What I do recall is that, with very rare occasion, it was when half the people didn't think the other half were morons, jerks, racists, had lady parts, etc., etc. I'm not sure when that changed. Very true! Lots of useless BS talk in this section now.
You ain't about that life.

Pretty sure it was about something other than cartridges though.
Mainly boobz if I am remembering correctly!!
Why else would I have joined?? Yes, that would have been Clay's poolside pictures in the classifieds. Unfortunately haven't seen any of his ads for a couple of years. Jerry

In 2001, the trends were referring to Remington as "Sucks", Leupold on everything, and McMillan stocks. Put all three together and you were one of the cool kids, especially if you bought the parts from other members.
I never made the cut.

If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Ti’s. I can’t remember if I found this place while looking for ti’s; or found this place and then started looking for ti’s! Either way, it was the start of a costly affair!

Newly joined & it's all about the various Scrotmore this & Scrotmore that & Scrotmore with RL16 & Scromore with 166 VLDEZQs. Oh... dont forget the 270 owners (not necessarily the same as the Scrotmorians) defending their masculinity. I see there are a few almost regular folks here too.

No idea what the "must have" cartridge was when I joined in 2004. Or since. All I know is I've filled a couple safes since then. Kids getting out of college was a good thing.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
