There are so many contradictions to the Gov recommendations that it borders on insanity. You can do this, but you can’t do that. Wear a mask but you don’t have to wear mask because they are effective yet ineffective at the same time. I remember before this all started just about every doctor on record stating that hand sanitizer was a bad thing to do and they would all recommend washing your hands with simple soap. What ever happened to that one?

Bottom line is, human beings being human beings hate to feel they’ve been duped. I think it’s why a lot of these Corona believers are hanging on to the fairy tale they were fed by the MSM.

I showed caution in the beginning after Trump declared the virus serious enough to recommend social distancing - which I did.

After Congress got their fingers in the pie and started to hijack the message and turn truths, lies, and hysteria into a platform and agenda to ruin the economy, thus, ruin Trump, I called BS.

I am on record for playing “Kick Fubarski in the Nuts” on a thread - but that was fun, and Fubarski has a Kevlar protected sack, so, no harm, no foul.

Me, like the rest of us, will eventually contract this virus. I would like to catch it later, rather than sooner, after mo-better treatments are vetted and shown to work.

I’ve been back to work for a month now...It’s business as usual with 6’ separation from people/customers I don’t know.

We were told by the wizards of smart (Fauchi, Birx) the whole purpose of sheltering in place was to flatten the curve in order to not overwhelm the healthcare system.

And your comment in the other post about PPE etc and "social diseases"...............you had a good teacher it would seem.

Not sure how this is all going to play out...................but I'm getting tired of the game.

I don't really know anything about BSI or PPE, except that you should squint when grinding and squint even harder when welding. That being said, I did wonder if perhaps people are largely fooling themselves about how "social distancing"(the stupidest sounding term since "shelter in place"...I swear to [bleep] the .gov has a contest to come up with the most retarded labels they can find) is keeping them safe. All the stores that were allowed to remain open here shortened their hours....somehow forcing people to go to the store in a smaller time window is helpful I guess? Many are wearing masks(mostly homemade looks like) and gloves, but how many are wearing those when they take their purchases home and wash them properly before removing said PPE?

My position is to allow people to do as they wish as much as possible, so I have no issue with anyone wanting to wear the masks and gloves, but it seems to me that it probably is more about feeling protected than actually being protected. If this thing turned out to be as bad as some of the earliest predictions said it was, would a homemade mask and some lunch lady gloves really cut it? I think one day the real thing will arrive, a true killer that's going to decimate the population. If and when that happens, my plan would be to make one trip as early as possible and collect all the supplies I need to hold out for minimum 4 months, go home and lock the place down. I don't know why the people who are afraid now don't do this. Instead they wander around town glaring at anyone who isn't following their idea of safety, then going home and bitchin online about how crazy and irresponsible the people where in town today while they were just out trying to pick up "essentials" for the 3rd time this week.
