Ha!

I recall seeing bumper stickers (on logging trucks in the Forks, WA vicinity):

You can come here if you can get out. We have room and we're 25 miles from the fires.

I think I’d rather burn to death.

I fear my family cabin is gone. Reports are sketchy and nobody is allowed up there with the fire still burning but it don't look good.

Steve,

Glad you’re doing ok (so far).

Take care,
Travis

Looking like the nightmare may come true for my BIL in Clackamas County and his home. He made a last trip to the property to gather essential paperwork and set a sprinkler on his roof.

He said it was eerie driving in and won’t be going back. His pal at the Sheriffs dept said it’s not looking good for the properties where his home and outbuildings are located in Colton.

It’s still windy, temps to reach 95* today and fire fighters can’t work with the dangerous conditions.

In the end, it’s just stuff, but when it’s your stuff, it absolutely matters and hurts.

Wishing all in a fire evacuation zone the best.

😎

Condolences to your Brother in Law and your family, if they have truly lost their home and everything in it...

I hope no one else connected to anyone on the campfire has to endure this...

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. My family has a home in Yarnell, Arizona and we experienced what you all are going through now during the Yarnell fire. I have no doubt some of these fires were caused by lightning but I also have no doubt the blm and Antifa enablers saw an opportunity to capitalize on it and increase the destruction.

That's a fun website! LOL. Don't see any arrests for arson there.

We haven't been as dry in BC this Summer as previous years. We also had much of the timber prone to this kind of fire burn up several years ago. If it stays dry like it has for the last few weeks we might see some more starting up. Time will tell.

Reckless burning and interference with firefighters, etc
However, my apologies, I didn't realize that arrest was from earlier this summer.
The site is useful. I make a habit of perusing my local sheriff's roster a couple times a week. If I see a new face I use the linked site to see if they have priors and where they are from.

Hope and pray for the best for you folks out there.
There better be some serious Federal punishment if any of this is connected to any of those organizations.

My wife is in Tigard and there is a fire 15 minutes from them and a fire that started the day before at Mt. Hood. I saw some news clips from Ashland and it looked awful.

I’ve heard from someone in OR that it’s high winds affecting power lines, along with high temperatures.

Some bitch!

I have family that evacuated from one place, now forced from another fire 20 miles away.

Used to hunt there. That area will be great hunting in about four years.

That's what has started some of them. Other's they aren't sure about, yet.

I just heard my pastors daughter in law lost one of her parents in the fire and her 12 yo brother panicked when the house caught fire and ran into the woods that were ablaze. No word on if they can even search for him or his body yet. I got a call from a friend who is helping at the state fair grounds which is where folks took the horses they could get out and she said they needed wheelbarrows and pitchforks since everyone lost all their gear in the fire. Went to the feed store and bought wheelbarrows and forks and took them over and as soon as I stopped they grabbed the things and started cleaning stalls. They are trying to find a vet who is open to come treat burns and injuries suffered during the fire and evacuation. I saw all that and decided I have a few gun projects that need to go to a new home to raise some money for a little assistance to these poor people.
