I’m of German heritage, second generation. Not sure why anyone would take that language, unless there is a very specific career issue. Suggest you consider a different school. If possible. Good luck.
I worked with an Iraqi national who’s German was impeccable. Young kid.
Last summer I was stopped in parking lot of our large local grocer by a non Turkish, middle eastern couple trying to sell me jewelry. I answered the woman in German and she just started really " slinging the bat" back to me as I burst out laughing!!!

Since it’s German 3, the students are already well versed so tell them to ONLY speak in German. It’ll blow the teachers mind. Especially with intermittent laughter.
20 and 30 years ago there were still many 3rd and 4th generation German speakers in the area. Today now near as many. Still a pretty good bit further west in hill country.
Daughter in laws grandmother still speaks German. As do some of the rest of her family.

The kid could do worse than learn German, especially if there’s a lot of German folks in the area. Languages have a way of increasing mental agility for those who learn them young. I’ve learned languages from teachers that were far from native speakers - one of my German teachers in High School was named “Wolfgang”, indicating his parents were almost certainly “wrong” in the war - he was a native speaker, with a big crush on Goethe. But just about all were at least fluent.
If this teacher isn’t at least conversant in the language she’s accepted to teach, she needs to be dismissed for incompetence. End of story.

Oooow! I like that. That's got real style. I'm sure, with a little encouragement, your kid can whomp up a serious psy-op campaign.
I know! Have them sing the Panzerlied every day before class! Make it as menacing as possible.
and then randomly get up and sing German drinking songs throughout the class. Be loud, be boisterous and ignore the teacher completely.
A few weeks of that and you'll have that Schweinehund running from the building.
Whats funny is the old story from Fredericksburg Tx. In 1917 Texas legislature outlawed the speaking of the German language in public. One black family in that town and they spoke little English. The patriarch of that family stated it was ridiculous that they could not speak their mother tongue in their own country. As far as he knew everyone in Texas spoke German.

No, it isn't racist but the cry of racism is the refuge of the incompetent. Not understanding why someone would study German unless it is still required for a chemistry degree. My kids school only taught French which I thought was fairly useless compared to Spanish. My son's girlfriend's mother is fluent in Spanish and English as is a former USFS agent I worked with. They are both in high demand as go to translators in the court systems they work in. My nephew in law is the son of a Mexican immigrant and is fluent in Spanish and speaks English with no accent other than redneck. He is quite valuable to the company he works for.
another indication the Reconquista is going according to plan
......and don’t stop pushing the issue. Being called a racist is on par with being called the “n” word. Feel free to respond accordingly.
....... Exactly..... Being a conservative right leaning American of a solid 50 per cent German heritage I highly resent being called a "Nazi". To me it's the equivalent of the "N" word and I'm OFFENDED by it... It TRIGGERS me and it's not only "Hate Speech", but outright "Bigotry", "Prejudice", and an exercise in "Stereotyping" and "Ethnic slurs". Funny how the left can engage in unlimited verbal abuse with no consequences while anyone else is held to their strict standards of politically correct speech patterns. I've about had it with their one way "free speech" B.S..
Only local church I know of that still has services in German is the Lutheran church over at Fedor Tx.
