Well crap. I have BP, SW, and Cabelas alll close by. Since Cabrala’s got bought out, most of my spending has gone to SW.

Here's the sorry tale up here. We used to have Wholesale Sports, started in Calgary awesome company did lots of mail order. Then they expanded stores all over about 5 in BC this is the 90s. If you needed a left handed die part for your obscure caliber that's where you went. Then Cabelas moves in. OK, not bad maybe better on clothing etc. The two made for decent comp. Then all the sudden Bass Pro shows up shortly after buys Cabelas, closes the entire entity of Wholesale Sports and starts to shred Cabelas of anything useful. Buy the competition, either ruin it or close it. Progress? They can bite me.

A friend worked in the Medford OR S. Warehouse, far enough up the food chain to see spreadsheets ,claimed those clothing and junk slum mentioned was where the profit lays. He said some off brand camo clothing had a 200% markup. Does this remind anybody of the Dick's Sporting goods inventory? I thought SW got ruined when the owner got caught screwing his secretary, his wife found out, and he had to shut down and sell half his stores... That was only a minor business fluctuation, bump in the road, etc.

All I know is that they better continue to leave us the employee discount or I am going to switch over to the LGS or the other LGS for my part time job. Fotis will say the same thing. That is the only reason that 75% of the employees work there.
