So, I know the Campfire really loves the 270 winchester...so, if you were gonna buy a rifle in 270 win today, what would you get?
(I came across a good deal on 270 ammo and bought it, but don't have anything chambered in 270...so I may pass it off to a relative or just get a rifle for it.)

Unemotional plug and play, Tikka T3x.
Panache as a factor, a Model 70 Featherweight.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

10 years ago? A M70 Fwt.
Today? 84L Montana. No brainer.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

If you can find a Remington 700 I would not be afraid of it , if not, a Tikka
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

There’s only one choice... Todd That's a great pic and quite a sell.....
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

That's what I'd look for.......an older 700. Second choice would be a Winchester Model 70. If looking for a new rifle, take a look at the Bergara's.
