Burris Fullfield E1 with the regular plex reticle This- (The rotating eye piece on the FFII is a nuisance if you plan to run scope caps) I have a 2-7 FFII and I really dislike the rotating ocular bell. I'll trade you a C note for it that you can put towards a new(er) one that you like better...
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

Of course, but make mine the 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Hypothetically: If you had 3 tikkas in 308 to choose from for a 10 points Colorado mule deer tag hunt.
One has a swfa 6x mil quad.
One has a fullfield e1 3-9x40
Or an fx-iii 6x42 with wide duplex m1 turrets.
Which one ya choosing?

Which one ya choosing? Trick question time, eh? 😁 Any one of the three if the scope on it has been proven reliable by me. The 6x mil quad if I have to pick one of the three off a rack at random and go. It's like the high-end 1911 or Glock to a gunfight question......

I like the one I have been using for several years. I got this one for a step-grandson for his Mdl 70 '06. It also seems to be a good scope. https://www.opticsplanet.com/burris-3x-9x40mm-fullfield-ii-ballistic-plex-e1-riflescope.html

I picked up a new Burris 3-9x40 E1 from Optics Planet just before Christmas, but haven't even opened the box since I'm not sure what I'm going to mount it on yet. It's one of Optics Planet's exclusives that has a standard plex reticle. I paid $179 with free shipping.
Just my $.02

Just a bit more gets you into a Meopta Optika 5, which is excellent at the price IMO.

Burris Fullfield E1 with the regular plex reticle This. If it can be found. Fullfield II is 0.5 rch behind just if you don't like the full rotating ocular. Be interested in the FF IV if its not chinky. No more chinky anything if anything else if available.

Which one ya choosing? None would be me first choice but I wouldn't feel handicapped with any of them. Ha well, I wouldn't twist the Leupold's turrets. Never owned a swfa but the logic is sound for that price point

Handwerk: I would recommend the SIL look for a nice used Leupold 3x9x40mm scope - I see these on occasion for less than $250.00. If'n the SIL plans to Hunt "Mt," on occasion I would also recommend looking for a used Leupold 3.5x10x40mm. Good luck in your search. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I have heard alot of people complain about Leupold on this site but I have owned several and have never had one problem with them. I have owned several of the freedom line scopes and they were all great in my opinion. I would also have to second the Burris FFII. Either of those is a winner
