I didn't read it all but I know the drill and have been waaaay down this rabbit hole. I'll summarize it for you. Eating less fat and more carbs = more fat on your gut. Eating more fat and less carbs = less fat on your gut. Its paradoxical, but it works and people have known it for at least a couple of hundred years. Atkins certainly didn't come up with the idea in the 60's or 70's but he made a lot of money off of it.

Each individual may have to fine tune the above equations based on their own metabolism. If you are a post menopausal female that yoyo dieted for most of your life, you may have to push it to a ketogenic diet of practically no carbs to lose weight and regain health. A non-diabetic male with anything resembling a normal metabolism can cut his carb intake to around 100 net carbs a day and weight will fall off of him in just a few days/weeks/months give or take.

Just make sure the fat you eat comes from a natural source.

Just don’t eat Twinkies and sodas every day. Stay away from the wicked whites as they are called: white rice, white bread, white flour... Exercising helps too. I went for a hike this morning with the dogs ,then got laid. After that a little nap.

Tell me how they got oil from corn, soybeans, cottonseed, and rapeseed thousands of years ago?

Simple answer is that they didn't. That takes industrial processing and has only been in existence for 100 years or so.

^^^^^This---.

Evidently you have never heard of ancient
civiization use of ~Brassica~ seed oils.

Soyabean oil extraction goes back a few millennia
to oriental cultures.

Due to my interest in all things Roman ..
I will share this ....

"The Last Legionary: Life as a Roman Soldier in Britain, AD 400," (Elliot)
explains;
For troops on the march olive oil was preferred
but being an expensive luxury (shipped from Med.
and difficult to transport), pig fat (lard) became the
staple fat source for troops.
Elliot cites;
Avidius Cassius, (who rebelled against Marcus Aurelius)
ordered that his troops carry nothing except
'laridium ac buccellatum at due acetum',
[i.e.] bacon fat, hardtack and sour wine".

Thanks to the Price Edict of Diocletian
we know the market prices of that time for
different grades of olive oil and Brassica oil
and also various common animal fats.

Please tell me the wicked whites do not extend to the getting laid part?

Yes , Infectious diseases dominated mortality
of humans making heart disease[deaths] relatively
"uncommon".but the non-existent claim is absurd

Since the Renaissance in centuries prior to 1900,

William Heberden (1710 - 1801)

Caleb Parry (1755 -1822)

Heart disease was infrequent prior to 1900---far less prevalent than now.

Maybe as an actual primary cause of death
coz infectious diseases got many beforehand.

you seem to be relaxing things from non-existent,
to virtually non existent to now infrequent ..

What ballpark death rate/per 100,000 do you mean
by "infrequent" ?

Lotta truth in this, just look at old pictures and you will see dozens of people and not a fat person there. They all died young from something we now don't even consider, like pneumonia or a minor infection.

Yep. Number one cause of death for the old Egyptians, abscessed tooth.

Maybe because the average life span was around 50 yrs old.
