I bet there are (and are gonna be) a lot of surprised folks in hell!
Probably so. But no one will be surprised that they're in heaven. You apparently have no idea how many of us would be extremely shocked to find ourselves in either. Some of us understand that when the electrons quit flowing inside the old cranium, all consciousness is lost. Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I agree. My beliefs align closer to the Buddhists. Life is suffering. The cause of suffering is giving a fugg what others think of you. Quit giving a fugg what others think of you and you’ll find happiness. Suffering can be caused from a lot more than that. Marriage, kids, dog bites and a million other things. Caring about what other people think, would be exhausting. Fug it...Just be kind to people who deserve kindness. The rest, kick their ass and roll 🦫 I don’t give a f’k what you think. Damn, Brother Beav! I’m a Jewish Buddhist! Laffin...😂🦫 Sometimes we take ourselves a little too seriously but when we’re talking about our souls and their possible disposition and of the eternities, things then get a bit personal and the scchitt will hit the wall. Every time. Stay well.

A couple things here the real name of the church is “the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So I don’t see how some can say we aren’t Christians when a Christian is a follower of Christ, and Jesus Christ is in bold letters in the official name.
Growing up in Texas I always thought it was unusual that preachers basically said believe my words. When you receive teachings of the lds church you are told not to just believe the words but to pray and ask god yourself. The most famous passage of scripture in the Book of Mormon instructs people to do just that. Ask god if it’s true. I think this is the opposite of some saying it’s a cult, why would a cult say dude go ask god if our message is true.
Cults involve one leader and that leader seeks more power and influence. Almost all the lds church leadership rotates in and out of leadership.
Sadly some non members feel like we ostracize them. This is against our teachings if this happens. Our teachings teach people to fellowship and help all. I think it happens because nearly everyone you live around knows each other and sees each other at least weekly. Of course you act differently to those you know verses don’t know. I think that is what non members see and it’s not intentional.
I say this again without enough people of all faiths believing in Judeo Christian values our nation willnot be free. The lds church is the most successful home grown American religion. I think that is kinda cool

Question: a person lives a life during which he harms no one, is dependent on no one and raises and provides for a family that he raises w/ the same values. That person protects and helps others w/ lesser abilities. That person does not embrace the same belief system as do you. Is that person doomed to a fiery furnace or another form of perdition?
Simple question. What say you?
mike r Depends. Do you or don’t you believe him when he said: “I am the way, the life and the truth. No man goes to the Father except through Me”. Being a “good person “ doesn’t supercede that. According to what is written, So a pedophile can go to heaven by accepting Christ 30 seconds before he dies, but a good man who lives a life mirroring Christ’s teachings but never “accepts” Christ as the son of God, burns for eternity? Seriously?! Read it for yourself, Jack. You consider yourself as a judge of others? I’ve read it, more times than I care to remember. You good with hanging with Hitler for eternity if he accepted Christ right before he pulled the trigger on that Luger in the bunker? As you’ve read it more times than you care to remember what do you believe? I’m not good with “hanging with” anybody . Period. We will each and individually stand accountable for our deeds of commissions and omissions AND for our beliefs. He and only He will judge for the eternities, not you, not me, not any other human. I believe my destiny is in my hands. If the Christian God stands by and allows children to be tortured and raped, men and women to be slaughtered, mass genocide etc… then we’re on the same page. He puts us here and gives us a very simple set of rules and instructions to live our lives by. But He also blessed us with Free Will. Every social ill and every example of man’s inhumanity to his fellow man that we have had over the eons is directly caused by the misuse of the gift of Free Will. Maybe we’re on the same page. Maybe we’re not.

Not LDS here, but I have the utmost respect for every one of them I have got to know. I was broke down up in the Utah mountains, they towed my truck 37 miles with a chain to someone that would open their repair shop and fix my vehicle, stayed with me till the job was done. They would not take one penny.
I knew a lot of LDS when I lived in Az, rode horses and hunted with a lot of them.
They deserve better than to be made fun of.
I agree. They don't need to be made fun of, but they need those who actually care enough about them to tell them about the real God of the Bible and how to be with him someday . He is clearly described in their KJV Bible. That's the seed that's been planted and watered . Are you 100% certain of a home in heaven?

You are competing with 1500 other Christian faiths for that title who are as insistent you're wrong as you are they're wrong.

What I'm sharing is a gift ...."The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". Romans 6:23 That's One faith, regardless of what denomination may say on some other issues. The other "faith" either adds to faith in Jesus, or takes away from Him. Those are basically the two faiths. Grace is the kindness that God extends to us all through His Son Who purchased that gift by His own body on the cross. When I was raised, I knew something about this, but never had anybody who took the time or knew how to show me from God's Word what He says about that. Have you ever had that personal offer?

But others believe in the same Bible you do and see the salvific truth very differently. There is also the issue of baptism. It is an essential ordinance, but who has the authority? You see, you can't avoid the problem of "says who"?
