The EW 12yo (red label) is excellent, don't know that it's available Stateside though. Its usually available at their gift shop in Louisville, but runs $120ish.

All this bourbon talk got me motivated to crack a McKenna. These are a gamble as they can run the gamut from hand sanitizer to exceptional. This one happens to be exceptional with butter toffee over dried fruit notes. I have a bottle of the McKenna which I haven't opened yet. Sounds like there's no way to tell how good it is until its opened...I've got an Old Fitzgerald in same condition. Hopefully that one is a winner.

Some friends and I had several bottles of Blanton's open for one tasting and there were clear differences.

Has anybody here tried Crown Royal Blender’s Mash...? I think when it first came out it was called Bourbon Mash.
It has a mash bill of 64% Corn, 31.5% Rye, and 4.5% Malted Barley.
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

Did you just bring Canadian, maple syrup flavored dish water into this conversation?!

Did you just bring Canadian, maple syrup flavored dish water into this conversation?! lol I don’t think I did. From the sound of it, if it was made in America instead of Canada, it’d be bourbon. I do like Crown. And I’m curious about this Blender’s Mash...?!

That’s a bunch of malarkey! www.breakingbourbon.com/review/crown-royal-bourbon-mash-blenders-mash

Well after reading that dude’s review...even though his palate appears to clearly be more refined than mine is...I’m no longer curious about it like I was. Thanks for that link. As for bourbon, my absolute favorite is Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve. And I always have Bulleit on hand too.

I was given a bottle of Crown Reserve. It lasted a weekend. Sunday was a sad day. 🦫
