Suppose Ill ask the anti-vaccesers what they really are afraid of, with the vaccines? Ill encourage you to look at this from many ICU attendees view. What are the ICU's personnel seeing that doesn't work and how harsh are the outcomes. I do not wish to be confrontational with those who choose to not be vaccinated, rather I'd like to understand your reservations against getting vaccinated with a 94% effective vaccine. As opposed to doing nearly nothing for example. from what I understand here the science and facts carry very little if any weight here with those to abstain. Still Id like to truly understand the reservation in getting vaccinated.

Are we holding out for a better alternative? Do we expect a better alternative? Or is there a better alternative that currently out there that I am not aware of? This is worth a heart felt discussion at the very least as we are talking about life altering & or life ending choices here.

Why do you feel the need to be vaccinated against a condition that is 99.7% survivable?

Why do you GAF about his needs?

I just got off the phone with my brother. He's a doctor. He's the President of both the teaching and research hospitals at Nationwide Children's hospital. We talked about retirement, family, bicycling and COVID. Being in high level research circles, he knows a doctor who developed the Moderna vaccine. They've played softball together before. They have chatted about the vaccine. No need to go into details that nobody cares about, but having that conversation with my brother gave me greater confidence in the safety of the vaccine.

As viruses do, he expects this one to continue to morph. He expects COVID vaccines to require regular modification to keep up. He believes booster may be in the future as well.

I actually understand the distrust people have of the government and the vaccine. When the nation's leading pandemic specialist is a dipschidt like Fauci and he got caught flatfooted by this, and he's the government's mouthpiece, then it's expected that there will be skeptics. Then add the Delta "breakthrough" cases and I won't criticize those that are holding off. There were a lot of polio vaccine skeptics back in the day too.

Truth or not, beyond hospital admissions in the past week, outlying walk-in clinics and emergency after hours clinics are supposedly reporting an overflow of admissions beyond what they can serve and handle properly.

These are all listed as having the Delta Variant and all those being admitted are listed as being unvaccinated.

The same overflow extends to covid related 911 calls .

There’s been a silence about anything covid/pediatrics related cases since the first listings a few days ago.

Who knows how much truth is buried in these newspaper reports?

All of the above is in the greater metropolitan Baton Rouge area.

I had a flu vaccine last year. I'll need another one this year. Does that mean last year's didn't work?

The "vaccines" might prove ineffective, but the mind programming works great.

@jameslavish

If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.

I think what will prove to be remarkable is that as time goes on, these mRNA innoculations (they have nothing to do with cows) will fade from our concern the same way the H1N1 vaccine has. Near as I can tell, the best case is Pfizer and Moderna's products give some protection (somewhere between ~30 and ~60% for Delta) and better protection than that from serious illness or hospitalization, and we can expect the antibody response from them will fade substantially by the end of the first year. It's less believable that the shots are any kind of evil scheme (slightly more plausible that the virus is). The critical thing is that we maintain liberty for people to make their own medical decisions and to engage is speech and expressive conduct without tyranny.

The evidence is growing that the shots aren't a universal panacea. They're not going to make the pandemic go away, much less our healthcare problems, our civil schism, our politcal polarization, our economic catastrophe that's heavily masked by monetary and fiscal policies that are actually exacerbating it, and on and on. I'm pursaded the Pfizer and Moderna products do help, but less than many would hope and some peoples' growing demand to force the innoculation of others is a more hopeless and dangerous course than forgoing the consumption of these products.

It’s a non-sequitor because a serious response to your question wasn’t warranted. The flu vaccine is different every year and is merely an educated guess as to which one of the thousands of flu strains will be most prevalent that year. It often doesn’t protect against those other strains. Most people are not tested for the flu and the standard tests don’t reveal what strain a person has if they have it.

Yep. Pfizers was supposed to be 94% effective - against what?

Against getting covid. Well, that aint happening.

Against death from Covid? Ok, you take the jab that makes you 94% safe from COVID-19 death.
Id rather go with the 99.7% chance of not dying from COVID-19.

Sheesh. This schiett ain't rocket science.

HE told us about the Vipers. What are those snakes on the Medical emblem? Vipers

What kind of fruit does WHO, Biteme, CDC, the MSM and Fauci bear?

If you were a smarter man you would realize the virus has mutated, and will continue to do so as long as there are hoards of dumazzes that refuse to get vaccinated.

Funny post there lefty, it appears the "leaky" vaccines are what's responsible for virus mutations.

It’s been stated by every expert that the covid vaccine will not keep you from getting it. How is it that only unvaccinated people are seemingly getting it. Hmmm strange. You don’t suppose the gov would bull Schitt you with data released do you? I’m just trying to understand the logic of not getting covid if you are vaccinated when all the claims say it won’t help with that. Inquiring minds want to know. Edk

It’s called confusion, wrapped in a mystery, boxed in a conundrum, shrouded in an enigma put forth as a definite maybe for all to believe what may or may not be true depending on what moment it’s updated.

That should do it for the present moment, only.
