A combination of heat stroke and drinking water with toxic algae might have been enough to do them in.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

No way they needed to drink the river water on a short day hike. Temp over 100 and they take a hike with a baby? Something wrong with this picture.

Why does it take a month to find out what killed these people? I could see taking your good old time on a random pile of bones thats been out there for years but If I was in that area I would want to know what killed three seeming healthy people and a dog all at one time in short order.

They would leave giant chipmunk tracks. Even a lowly local constable would have seen them tracks.

And besides that, the search dogs would have hauled ass after them and tracked them chippies down. Any dog worth it's salt could not resist going after a giant chipmunk. I mean, look at how wound up they get over regular 'munks.

Damn, I missed that - probably because as an atmospheric scientist I tend to tune out the chicken little sky is falling crowd at every opportunity.
And his statement is indeed pure, unadulterated leftist tree-hugging bulls hit. How does he know that it's not caused by excess nutrient runoff from nearby farms, pollution from somewhere else upstream, etc? Those bun-headed fa ggots piss me off. And I am surrounded by them at work every day.

Guessing a murder suicide. Generally the most obvious cause in these situations based on my experience.

Blue algae doesn’t kill quickly and will affect animals and humans differently
