QUICK question? Have we all moved on from Benchmade allowing their equipment to be used to cut up/destroy firearms from several years ago? I just need to know so I know if it is ok to buy them again? I never abandoned them. Can't speak for others. I thought about buying another, but the Barrage I've carried most days for the last 12 years is still perfect. And I have a lot of useful knives, but nothing carries and uses like a Benchmade Barrage, IMO

Roach Belly, not Scandi. Marttiini is, from Finland, cheap, light, and sharp. And the fat-assed General. That doesn't look like a General. Blades too short. Sure it's not a 119 ? Duhh. Yah 119. Fat-assed Woodsman. A 119 was my first fixed blade. Left it stuck in a tree up skalkaho pass 20 years ago. Still chaps my ass to think about it.

When I started making a knife every week in 2020, they were boxy and square. But as 2020 rolled along, they got rounder corners.

If you want a Stabby Cutty knife that will disappear in your front pocket, this one will. The S30V blade is only 3.75 inches long. We made the first one at the request of a Law enforcement officer that wanted to be able to hit a tire with it and leave a huge hole. I've done it and the first thing you feel is the edge of your hand hitting the tire. Amazing how this cuts. The sheath is clipped inside the pocket and the handle is grabbed and pulled to deploy the knife, leaving the sheath in the pocket. I think this is the model that was on our web site that gave Facebook the shivers a few years ago and prevented us from advertising on their site. My stabby cutty came today, absolutely fantastic!
Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Its a hell of a lot more substantial than I thought it was going to be.

It's a good size knife. I had to do some honing, but it took a real good edge. Also I did some sanding on the grip scales to round off some of the blocky feel.

Along the way I've added a Becker BK9, and an ESEE Junglas....now the RAT-7 seems more of a mid-size blade.....grin

So....what would make a good stabby cutty slashy knife be?
Got to thinking the other day....my Old Timers and Leathermans wouldn't be much good in a real stabby type situation.
Guess I am worried about my hand slipping forward.
Anyone recommend a good stabby slashy knife? Yeah, find a pattern you like, and some old files or plow shares and I'll make you one. All it'll cost you is a beeve. Alright Jim, a kitchen knife for the wife, a stabby cutty for you, and a small fixed blade for each of the kiddos. All patterns of your choice. If you want to be sentimental and send me some steel from the homestead I'll make it happen. Chingow. One measly little steer. BGG….I’ve heard you talk about making knives as a hobby (iirc) but don’t think I’ve read about your setup or how you got into it? You’ve probably described it many times but I’m sure I missed it….. I miss a lot. 😁 It intrigues me, just not enough to get into. 😉
