Scotch has such a varied palate it's impossible for me to say. So much variation. The ones I have enjoyed tend to be high priced; to me, decent mescal is as enjoyable and with at least as varied nuances. I prefer rye whiskey over either bourbon or scotch for just relaxing. But someone on another whiskey thread here recommended giving 40 Creek a try. I haven't had a chance to get my hands on a bottle yet so, I'm still open to finding a good Canadian. Z
