Alas, I think he's out of business. Phone is disconnected, and no responses to emails. That's a disappointment because I really like the cuff. I haven't seen anything similar, only the lever gun cuffs.

270's are good. Just the other day I thought about building one. the idea hasn't left me yet.

Crazy gun nut.

Mine wear Leupold 2.5-8 or 3.5-10's.

One does wear a Nightforce 4-14 SHV so I can do some long range playing.

2.5-10x32/42 NXS or 3-10x42 SHV. You'll pay a minor weight penalty for mechanical durability/repeatability.

Well fellas, I did a massive scope search in my inventory and forgot I had this one. Leupold lightweight 3x9x33 mm. I don't recall the correct model but it does have click adjustments. I used it a long time ago on my TV Compass 30-06 and served me well. I mounted it on Talley lightweight 1inch low rings. The whole package handles like a rapier. All in at 7.7 lbs.

Talley rings on a long action 70 with that scope? Is the front base a reversible type? How is the eye relief on 9x?

I've used a scope like that on short action 700s, I can't imagine getting along with it on a long 70.

I like the fixed 6x for more of a classic scope anywhere from the Leopold and SS to pricier options to Athlon 2x12x42 or something similar. That is what my son put on his 270 Tikka and really likes it.

Took a Leupold 2.5 X 8 B&C off a 270 Win, that would not zero after it came back from Leupold and put on a Vortex Viper 3 X 9 that zeroed in 2 shots and has held its zero on a very accurate LH Rem 700 in 270 Winchester.

I was going to suggest a scope, but when you mentioned Talley Lightweights I realized that there was no point

I have a rifle that I got from my late best friend’s widow and while I appreciate the robustness of some of the big tactical scopes, they are just not a good fit on this rifle. In a 1” hunting scope, I’d be looking at the 2-10 Tract Toric. Another option mentioned above would be one of the Nightforce SHVs.
