Done 2 colonoscopies - no drugs.
Don't like the drug "hangover". Procedure is miserable, but tolerable.
A few more years 'til the next. (10 year schedule, for me)
Oh - the lengths the docs go to - to keep me alive!

I've never paid attention to how close I was to the bathroom before.

It's gotta suck for people with Crohn's disease.

I always try and get the first appt. in the morning. Not sitting around starving all day.

I fast at least one a month, so that part isn't too bad.

I am planning on a good dinner tonight though.

It's great if you can, but the early appointments were only open almost a whole month further out.

Was rough when I started anti rejection meds. For 6 months, every day was like colonoscopy prep

Started carrrying viral wipes, have to do a quick wipe down of that place before I blew it up

Never had one, yet. Every five years my GP has me drop a deuce in a box and ship it to a lab. So far, the results did not warrant a colonoscopy.

Makes me laugh when I do it. Reminds me of when I was a kid. We'd schiet in a box or bag, put on someones porch, light it on fire, then ring the bell and run.

Because of U-M’s refocusing on profit as opposed to patient care and the Covid Nazi management I’m almost two years late for me 5 year schedule colonoscopy. I fired U-M as my health care providers.
Yesterday was the first appointment with a new doctor in the Henry Ford system. He was a little incredulous that I was this late for a ‘scope. After a few minutes of my listing all the ignorant attitudes at the U, he said, OK I see. Well let’s get you scheduled and back on plan. Sounds great Doc, I can’t wait to prove to the procedure team that my pylops 😂 are awesome.
As for anesthesia, I’m a cheap date. I go lights out pretty easily.
