Yeah, for crime stats, many agencies lump them in as White.

Glad to hear that. Thanks.

No amount of background checks, licensing, whatever, anything you can name is going to stop someone who wants to kill.

Lots of kids were bullied growing up. When I was younger I had short hair during a time when long hair was fashionable and that was enough for me to be singled out and bullied. My dad taught me how to fight and how to be ruthless when fighting. He said that when I’ve had enough then it’s up to me to set them straight, he was right. I became an unbeaten street fighter that by high school had a reputation as someone not to mess with. The rich kid high school football captain outweighed me by 75 pounds that day that he decided to mess with me. We walked off school property and he turned around when I started swinging. Billy took 3 punches as he fell and knowing that he outweighed me by a big margin I wasn’t stopping until he was unconscious. I was 15 (he was 18) but I was in a rage and I pulverized his face until he was unrecognizable. I’d have killed him if 3 teachers didn’t pull me off of him because the entire student body was watching dumbfounded but wouldn’t touch me afraid of what I might do.

From that moment on my life was completely different. Two days later the JV and varsity basketball team had their long hair shaved as a tribute to me, David beating Goliath. It was an amazing experience and one of those experiences that literally changes your life. I got suspended for 3 days but dad demanded that I serve my suspension from home. The principal asked dad why he wanted me to serve the time at home. Dad replied and I’ll never forget his words….”I’m taking my son for lunch and then he has the next 3 days to sleep in, go to the beach and think about how the next time some ass hole picks a fight with him he could fight more effectively and send the next son of a bitch that tries that to the hospital….the only issue I have with my son is that he didn’t put him in the hospital”

Law enforcement response issues aside, how hard would it be to fit these schools and school rooms with better secyrity systems? Doors with electronic locks, classrooms with one way steel doors that automatically lock from the inside, security cams and monitor systems over classroom doorways, security fencing around playgrounds, etc?

It would be expensive to refit all of these buildings and classrooms with real security doors, but we are already spending hundreds of millions to babysit a bunch of gangbangers with 60 level IQs for 12 years.

The difference being, Aces had support at home that taught him to stand up for himself. A hell of a lot of kids don't. I could be wrong but I think a lot of these kids turning psycho have bad experiences both at school and at home. They get bullied at school, then go home and are either ignored and neglected, or abused even more.

Not making excuses, just pointing out that there are a whole lot of children out there who have to grow up with absolute dogshít parents.

Which is a huge problem, as you previously stated about the chickensh&t zero tolerance stuff. Boys need to slug it out some, especially in middle school.

I had 4 fights that I can recall at school in the 7th & 8th grade. Aside from a trip to the principal's office for a few minutes, we never missed a moment of school. No suspensions etc.

It would appear in this case that simply following procedures already in place would/could have prevented entry. At this point it appears the shooter entered the school through a door that should have been locked.

A quick Google shows about 140,000 elementary schools in the US, Sandy Hook was ten years ago. Considering to the number of schools in the US, the odds of actually having this occur at any given school are vanishingly low.

People get complacent.

Down this way, we were in church on Sunday learning to value and appreciate life. We might duke it out once in a while, but we weren’t gonna shoot anybody.

A lot of parents just outright neglect their kids. Many grow up never having been raised at all. No wonder we are in such a mess.

We just need to bring back mental institutions like prior to the Reagan era and the catch and release mentality needs to cease.
Some people just dont belong in society and they need to be institutionalized for good.
For our well being and theirs as much as IDGAF about theirs honestly.
Let the loonies draw cartoons with their own schitt on their walls for all I care....

This nanny state bullschit in all aspects is going waaay to far.

Looks like Schmuck Schumer is pushing a national Red Flag Law. Red Flag Laws skip over that inconvenient little thing we know as Due Process, and allow the police to jump directly to sending a tac team to your home to steal all your guns BEFORE giving you an opportunity to appear in court with an attorney to defend against the charge that you are a danger to society, face your accuser, etc..

In other words, based on just about anybody's out of court assertion that you are a danger, cops can bust in and take your stuff, no warning or chance to oppose the accusation in court first. Requiring a judge to sign off first isn't Due Process and, besides, no judge is going to decline his signature for fear of being identified as the guy who could have stopped a mass murderer, but refused, i.e., he would be under too much political pressure to rubber stamp every request. Due Process requires that you have a chance to oppose the charge BEFORE your rights are violated. Having that chance afterwards isn't Due Process. The damage is already done at that point.

Make sure to call your US Senators and remind them that you fully expect them to defend your Due Process rights under the Constitution, and oppose all Red Flag Laws, which are its negation. The House is a lost cause, so it has to be stopped in the Senate.

I’ve not read this entire thread and this may have been discussed but I have two questions.
First aren’t most if not all classrooms required to have windows for fire escape? This of course would have been another point of entry. Maybe not there? Maybe the windows were utilized?

Second where does an 18 year old get enough experience with two newly purchased rifles and ammo to accurately hold off LEO as long as he did?

The lord took home another choir of Angels. God bless them all.

From the evidence that is coming out, it is not hard to hold off LEO who are behind their cars in the parking lot.

Even here in the middle of poor-as-shìt nowhere, a lot of government offices have electronic locking doors on the building that you have to have a badge ID to open.

It astounds me that we can put electronic security doors on the government Office of Mattress Tag Checking, but security at an elementary school depends on Cross-Eyed Janitor Charlie remembering to lock the door in between smoke breaks.

Schools have been letting their guard down quite a bit lately

1. Biden the wise messiah is pres now, that causes teacher orgasms
2. Many having 5th grade graduation or whatever, end of school pizza parties and whatnot, lots of stranger traffic
3. Late spring weather, shîthole school systems, crappy maintenance, no ac, classroom outside door propped open
4. Field Day, kids galore outside

Can’t sit back ans be a Wheel Of Fortune Boomer a s spout off from a recliner and not consider these security lapses. Not directed at either above posters
