Africa has the same problem as the US - plenty of water but in the wrong places. We have lots of farmable land in the west but all the excess water's in the east. Africa might have lots of good land north and south but all the water is central. Until someone can figure out how to cheaply transport huge volumes of water over long distances, it can't be resolved.

I have seen where they checked back on kids who were fed by World Aid back in the 80s (Bob Geldorf) and they now have seven kids themselves, all raised and supported by international aid......we are going to have to cut off the free lunch, and get the population down to a level they can sustain themselves.

There might be 4 billion Chinese in Africa at that time. They are going to kill off the Negro race .

Africa has huge deposits of valuable minerals and China has made deals with crooked African politicians to control most of them.

I used to know a veteran of the Rhodesian Bush War. The stories he told were almost something that you’d expect in a horror movie. He said it was ruthless, dirty and brutal but he sure didn’t seem to mind doing what he did to those that deserved it. 😉

Unintended consequences. Modern medicine keeps native population alive. Small pox, cholera, polio etc.
with cure and prevention of these keep folks alive and reproducing. Not long before food becomes a big problem.

Aces rights, I also knew a fellow that was american but was paid to fight over there, yes he was a badass. Crazy, but liked me. He used to walk 20-30 miles or more wearing ankle weights a Alice pack full of bricks., I asked him one time why he didn't run, he said you can only run so far and your spent. But if you can walk 40 miles you will live. RIP Joey

True enough. We use technology (agriculture, medicine, etc) to keep increasing carrying capacity. Eventually the machine breaks and all of that artificial increase vanishes overnight. Malthus can only be denied just so long .. catch up time is coming. Hope I'm dead first 'cause it's going to be a kind of ugly our species has never seen on a worldwide scale.

Our big hindrance is government regulation. How much more food could we grow if millions of acres didn't have to be devoted to alcohol?

I've been saying since the eighty's (college) that every dollar and every ounce of food we send over there needs to be tied to birth control by law.

Exactly the same thing I've been saying for years. Any species will turn adequate food into babies. Policy needs to be no birth control, no food.

Africa imports 85% of it's food. The cost will be about $125 billion by 2025, up from $35 billion in 2016. Not sustainable... obviously.

Roughly population in 2100:

500 million in NA
500 million in SA

500 million in Europe

5 Billion in Asia

4 Billion in Africa

And this is with couples in nearly every country, religion, race, color having 1-3 kids.
Average couples having 6-7 children is information from the 70s..
Thanks to contraceptions, schooling for girls, and abortions...
