I usually mow quite a few acres but this year I decided to let about 2-3 acres left unmowed. Deer love it. I don't know what they're eàting but they're in my yard every night like clockwork. It's cool watching the fawns get bigger.

BTW my mower is a JD X495 diesel with a 60 inch deck. It's a good machine but I wish for a zero turn.

In the context of "lawn", most anything as long as it’s a zero turn. I’ve delegated my old rider to pulling a small yard trailer back and forth from the garden and small clean up jobs.

I wouldn't mind. But fencing costs money.

Besides, my wife would make a pet of it.

On a serious note, we don't waste much grass mowing except for ditches and trails.

So easy my kid can do it.

Cattle mostly. Few horses. Two Servis brush hogs a New Holland swather a JD ZT to trim around the edges. There's a little self propelled Husky push mower out back used to mow around the raised garden beds. Mostly we encourage a cow critter to keep it clipped back. Saves fuel.....

Funny story, a guy I knew that had a few highlander cows in a field that he always kept finishing mowed. He was at the co-op buying grain one day when his neighbor was there. The neighbor asked him, "you do know them cows will eat that grass if you just quit mowing it don’t you?"

John Deere 950 compact with a rear mounted Woods RM90 finish mower.
Deere 345 54" for the yard most of the time.
Picked up a Simplicity Landlord 54" early this year in excellent condition at a very reasonable price. The thing worked perfectly until last weekend when the Kohler motor threw a rod. 🤬

Grasshopper 900D for most work
JD 425 for the slopes that the Hopper can't stick to

Scag 61" Tiger Cat, or 8' brush hog for the tractor.

John Deere SUCKS!

If it is a small push type gasoline lawnmower,when looking,see if it has an oil drain plug. I bought one from Tractor Supply and you have to turn the mower over and drain the oil thru the fill hole.

I also have a 60" brush hog for my Kubota and 48 inch rider by Craftsman. I should have checked on that when I bought it too. It only has two blades and in heavier grass, it misses a center section. Always go with3 blades.

! only mow a couple acres, just bought a Bad Boy Magnum MZ 54" at start of cutting season, it's holding up perfect, but of course, it ought to! Wish I had stepped up to their first model that has suspension, I think a ZT Elite 60", but it was 2K more. Gel ass cushion helps.
