TH Roger's, Duncan, OK.

When building my home (2002), I took plans down to Lowe's, Home Despot and McCoy's.
The nearest of the three was 30 miles away and they all tacked on $XX for each delivery.

Since the slab wasn't complete, I decided, "What the heck, I'll get a bid from the local small town chain 6 miles away."
Lo and behold, he undercut EVERY one of them and the store owner even brought me six 2×4's when I couldn't drop what I was doing and he was about to close.
McCoy's even told me they couldn't get 2×6 studs. All my exterior walls are 2×6 w/R-19 insulation.
Heat with a wood stove and cool with window units. Eleven hundred sq/ft.

If I want more than the local offers, which isn't much, my first stop is Lowe's. Home Despot is always 2nd fiddle. McCoy's is only if they have something that isn't available elsewhere. They had a "deal" on some B&D battery tools I jumped on, but that's it.

Not sure if I can get an answer for this maybe it needs its own thread

Since when, after someone running an 80 year punt return. How does squirting Gatorade all in your eyes restore one being winded, out of breath??

Isn’t that for hydration?

Sure, you can build a barn, chicken coup, cattle loading chute out of Uncle Darrell’s poplar bandsawed green logs. Long as don’t mind powder post beetles drilling frass pin holes out

I mean I would
Maybe a wharf for Fish Camp? One of those covered boat garages with a lift?

Can get some pretty nasty river backup flooding in there. TVA regulates the pool levels and youre subject to something be under 6ft of water for 30 days in all of those mowed bottoms.

In that bend of the creek, too there are also a few 200 year old oaks that would flatten anything built in there. That bluff is the first sharp rise of land after about a 3 mile open swamp. Wind hits that bend hard when a big frontal system beings storms.

I’ll move some rocks and maybe form a slab table/bench in there.
