You can do it here. But you really have to be doing it on purpose..........setting yourself up SPECIFICALLY to do it that way. The vast majority of guys' gun kils around here are probably inside 75 yards, too.

Here you go. Ones I have on Imgur now.

The only head mount I ever had done.

Most of what I shot whole hunting with my granddad, including the first deer I ever shot. He did the skull cap mounts for me.

The first deer I ever killed with a rifle, In James City Co, Va, just about the only county east of I-95 that allowed rifles from the ground back then.

You could do it here too but you'd have to be hunting farm country and shooting over fields and I haven't hunted farm country in over 20 years. What State are you in Yoder ?

Exactly the same here, and where I've hunted in NC. You can get a 465 yard shot in a beanfield, or some powerline or gas line clear cuts. May be able to get a 150 yard shot from a tree stand across some of our clear cuts. Otherwise, its so thick here you can't see 50 yards in the woods, even when the leaves are down. This is a very typical presemtation around here, when they aren't moving.

You wouldn't know if it was a muzzle loader or a rifle or a shotgun kill if I did.

How do we know that skull with a handgun bullet stuck in the wood was a muzzle loader kill?

Nice buck there 10Glocks. I like your choice of deer rifle in that lower pic. I have a safe full of scoped bolt action rifles these days but my Marlin and Winchester .30-30 lever guns are still my favorite and most used deer rifles for how and where I hunt.

I was just down from a ridge overlooking a ravine. I stood up and walked a few yards away to take a piss. Was pissing on a tree when I heard a shotgun report down the ravine nearer the swamp. Before I was even zipped up, I heard the buck running towards me up the ravine. I had dominate buck scent on little pieces of cloth tied to a low tree. That buck came charging up the ravine, and when it hit that scent, it came to a dead stop and threw its nose straight up. I hit it behind the the shoulder a little high. It took off and started up the ridge I was on, came to a dead fall, stopped again and it went down with a second shot. I was using Federal Hi Shok 150 grain flat noses. Both bullets passed completely through.

You've claimed 1,000+ turkeys so far, or damned near it. Haven't seen anything from you that comes close to supporting that claim, much less 30 in one year.

Finally, something you and I can agree on. Nice gun. Surprised you bought it. I thought you hated those since the "barrels aren't regulated."
