I'd sure as heck try it.
The soup.
(not about to try Rogers bowel)

Love sardines, the only anchovies I've ever eaten were on a pizza.

Ordered "everything" and got those nasty, hairy, fishy, salty things.
Made that mistake again, once. For years I'd order, "No Fish".
Quit doing that after every shop around here told me they don't
even have them.

Damn things are as nasty as caviar.

Award for least appetizing looking fish-based dish ever is awarded. Congrats! Your culinary experience is crystal clear. Tomato based mush with *canned* fish as the main ingredient? Texas wins again! A guy would be hard pressed to come up with a crappier looking ghettolicious meal, but I think you won this round, Tex.
We'll see how much you complian when I send you some menudo, lol, planning on making a big pot this weekend.

What does that have to do with the gnarly canned fish slop 'n' crackers pictured, or the price of tea in Myanmar on Tuesday?

Yes, the menudo you sent once was very good, and I thanked you for it profusely. But then, you didn't make it. Give it up, dude. Other than your smoked brisket, fine dining really just isn't your thing. Drinking beer, making amazing shine and stabbing pigs, absolutely. A man's got to know his limitations and all that...

I cook the menudo sometimes, same as Delias, and that stuff I made last night was good, she even ate a bunch of it.

Yes. Mom used to beat me with a sack filled with cans of smoked kippers, anchovies and baby shrimp back in the day. She went especially harsh when I dared criticize her infamous canned cod liver 'n' crackers surprise lunch. Still burns me.

Part of the standard supply. Canned clams, shrimp, salmon, crab, squid, anchovies, herring, mackerel, sardines and more. Awesome snack fodder.

I eat herring or sardines every day.

I no longer eat Ritz crackers.
