Agree about Henry. The TV character ought to be Henry Teddy Bear.

Was a fan until the very last episode. Spoiler alert - takes a sad left turn.
Kassidy Freeman acts about as well as Costner (wooden) and has crazy eyes.... creeps me out.
Sheriff Longmire is a great character, well written and well acted. Especially since it's an Australian actor doing a damn good American accent Barry Sloane (sp?) is also Australian . Pretty thick accent. Couldn’t stand Cassidy Freeman’s character….not at all.

I live in Buffalo, Wyoming. I know Craig Johnson( the writer of the books) . I never seen an episode. I just don't have the attention span to watch a dramatic series........

Can’t be. Everybody in Wyoming got killed twice already! We really enjoyed the series. They left it open for Walt’s daughter to take over his job.

One of the episodes Walt was being shot at long range with a Ruger No 1. He would run and drop after counting to four, the time it would take the shooter to reload and get back on target.
Walt grabbed a Win lever from his truck and nailed the guy driving away. With open sights.
Where do you see good action like that on Woke TV?

Show was pretty good. Books are simple, and a good time filler but nothing outstanding.

I liked the series, despite the fact that they cast Lou Diamond Philips in the role of Henry Standing Bear.
That made about as much sense as casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Philips is a good actor, but a bad fit in the show. Yep. Phillips is a good actor, but he’s a pipsqueak. Guess there’s not a lot of great Native American actors to choose from. And of course,Phillips is not a Indian / Native American anyhow. His mother is Filipino and supposedly his dad had a smidgen of Cherokee DNA. And the midget man, Tom Cruise just about ruined the first Jack Reacher flic for me. 🤪 The guy playing Reacher on the Amazon series did a great job, and is much more believable than Cruise, as Reacher.

I tried to watch it some years back, but could not get into it. Drunken cop with girl issues, faithful indian side kick. inter office conflict and poor story line, bad acting and goofy plots. There’s unfortunately a lot of small town LEO’s who and SO’s with boozer cops and piss poor Departments. They don’t pay they them schitt, so the folks that fill those jobs are often less than desirable. Often filled by relatives of the Sheriff or Chief. Fairly typical of a lot of small town or backwoods LEO Departments. Kinda like Uvalde. 🤪

I like it! I record the three shows every week on the Outdoor Channel and watch over the weekend.

I would say he should've just banged the blonde deputy in the first season and gotten it over with, but......

Wifey got me the complete series on DVD last year for my Birthday. We watched it together the whole way through. Both of us really enjoyed it. Like that old Chevy pickup of Standing Bears and Ferg’s T/A too. Very good series, IMHO. 7mm
